We own it
Women entrepreneurs in India have come a long way!
Isn't this true?
I mean, just look at Ms Nair!
Yes! Ms Falguni Nair, the founder of NYKAA, in other words, The Achelois for women.
Isn't she the best example of how far she justifies the title of my blog "We own it".
A graduate of the Indian Institue of Management, Ahmedabad, Ms Nair spent the bulk of her career--over 18 years--at Kotak Mahindra, she left the job to pursue her own dream. In 2012, she started company Nykaa, which sells online cosmetic and wellness products. Today the company has become so famous among Indian women. The company offers more than 850 brands and has introduced 35 physical stores. In 2017, she got the title of "Most powerful business" by Business Today. She also received the "women Ahead" award at The Economic Times. Since 2014, The company has been a partner with Femina.
I've read it somewhere-- "Dear optimist, pessimist, and realist - while you guys were busy arguing about the glass of wine, I drank it! Sincerely, the opportunist".
And, today's women is what she is, An opportunist. Be it Ms Indra Nooyi, The board member of Amazon or MS. Ritu Kumar, The fashion designer, She owns it! Women own it! We own it!
It borders on cliche, but female entrepreneurs really do it all, juggling startups, day jobs, and chock-full personal lives. Women today have understood that failure is not the opposite of success, but it's a part of success.
As a woman, I need to accept that it is not necessary that I will always make the right choices, that I will at some point or the other screw up royally, But I will work really hard at trying to see the big picture and will not get stuck in ego. And, as a woman, you need to understand this too.
If you dream it, you can do it. That's what these women entrepreneurs had in mind when they were trying to achieve their goals. It doesn't matter if you're not experienced yet; you have all the potential to become a kick-ass entrepreneur as long as you believe in your powers.
Success is just an easy word, But living this word brings struggle and failure. But, I believe we're all put on this planet for a purpose, and we all have a different purpose... When you connect with the love and that compassion, that's when everything good unfolds.
So, the bottom's up for all the women entrepreneurs out there!
Thank you for reading:)
